Climate and Innovation Summit Welcomes Zūm CEO Ritu Narayan

This week, Zūm CEO Ritu Narayan attended the Climate, Business & Innovation Summit, where she spoke about Zum’s commitment to delivering cleaner, greener student transportation.

Presented by the Stanford Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, Narayan appeared on a panel titled “Getting to Net Zero” to discuss Zum’s Net Zero Initiative, as well as the benefits for companies when they commit to net zero emissions and opportunities for students to tackle the climate crisis.

Zum is the first and only 100% carbon neutral student transportation company in the U.S. and is committed to transitioning school bus fleets to electric vehicles.

“I was honored to be part of such a thought-provoking and inspiring event at Stanford University today,” Narayan said. “Zum takes its sustainability efforts very seriously. We are proud to be reimagining the decades-old school bus system so that it promotes environmental stewardship and improves our health and communities.”

Other panelists included Annie Baldwin, Senior Manager of Product Management at Form Energy; Dr. Audrey Lee, Senior Director of Energy Strategy at Microsoft; Hannah Bebbington, a member of the Climate team at Stripe. The event was moderated by Eric Wesoff, Editorial Director at Canary Media.

Thanks to the Stanford Graduate School of Business for an informative and important summit!
