Seattle Public Schools Officials Ride A Zum Bus to Kick Off 2024-25 School Year
On Monday Zūm welcomed several special guests aboard a Zum bus in Seattle, including Seattle Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Brent Jones, School Board President Liza Rankin, Director of Transportation Steven Richard and several senior staff members.
After meeting at Olympic Hills Elementary School, the group boarded the bus and were able to experience the full morning route as well as a demonstration of Zum’s onboard technology and tablet application.
Superintendent Jones spoke with drivers about their work and the challenges they face, while Board President Rankin noted how profound it was to see Zum’s technology that enables drivers to record when students have been picked up and dropped off. Staff said they were also impressed with the cleanliness of the bus, both inside and out.
After the demonstration, Superintendent Jones and the team greeted parents and engaged with students on the bus.
Thanks to Zum Field Supervisor Timothy Scott and Iutisone “Mr. T” I’aulualo for providing a spectacular experience and real-time technology demo. We are proud to have Seattle Public Schools as a school district partner!
