Back to School 2025: Saint Louis, MO
Welcome back to school, St. Louis students!
The new school year is underway for Saint Louis Public Schools (SLPS), and Zūm is excited to celebrate its team of drivers and staff and launch the first year of our partnership with the Missouri district.
Student transportation has historically been an operational challenge for SLPS. However, since its partnership with Zum, all 220 bus routes have been consistently covered since day one, in addition to a surplus of drivers to ensure safe, reliable service.
“We are proud to share encouraging news as it relates to student transportation at SLPS as we start the new school year,” said Dr. Millicent Borishade, Superintendent of St. Louis Public Schools. “Today, thanks to months of preparation and a strong partnership with Zum, we have made real progress. This marks a major milestone for SLPS and reflects our commitment to putting students first.”
“We are privileged to have St. Louis as a district partner and to have a top-notch team creating meaningful change for SLPS families and schools,” said Ritu Narayan, Founder and CEO at Zum. “When students arrive at school on time and ready to learn, it positively impacts their overall educational experience. We are grateful to this supportive school community and appreciate our hard-working drivers and staff.”
Zum’s technology platform enables SLPS families, schools, and district staff to track students and buses, communicate effectively and make efficient and data-driven decisions. Within the first few days of school, the Zum Parent App has received more than 2,200 ratings from SLPS families, with 88% giving a full five stars.
Zum manages and operates student transportation in over 4,000 schools across 14 states nationwide.
We are grateful to our dedicated drivers and team in St. Louis! Together, we’re proud to deliver on our promise to provide safe, reliable and equitable student transportation for families and schools, and we look forward to the year ahead.
