Back to School 2024: Seattle, Wash.

Another fantastic back to school kickoff earlier this week! Zūm launched the 2024-2025 school year in Seattle, Washington with a special event to recognize drivers and staff for their incredible hard work over the summer, and to gear up for another safe and successful school year.

This is the third year Seattle Public Schools (SPS) has partnered with Zum for student transportation. The partnership has grown exponentially, adding more drivers, routes and even a second bus yard.

“We take pride in our positive work environment and a driver-first work culture,” said Paul Ahn, Seattle General Manager at Zum. “Everything here is for the drivers: We have brand new buses with air conditioning and comfortable driver seats. We’ve expanded into a second yard because our operations are getting bigger and better. And, of course, safety is always the prime directive – the safety of the drivers and students is always job one. Everything is for the drivers, which in turn means everything is for the students and families of SPS.”

“I’m proud of the team we’ve created here at Zum,” Ahn adds. “With strong communication, great technology, and top-notch facilities, we are making a meaningful difference in families’ lives and improving the student transportation experience.”

Zum manages and operates student transportation in 14 states and is expanding rapidly nationwide.
