Back to School 2024: Reading, Pa.

Zūm is off to the races in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Earlier this week, it kicked off the 2024-2025 school year with a large event at its bus yard. It celebrated and highlighted the employees, recruiters and drivers who have been working so hard to get ready for back-to-school, always the busiest time of year in student transportation.

Most exciting, this is the first year of Zum’s partnership with Reading School District. It marks Zum’s continuing expansion throughout the country, a sign that school districts around the nation are ready for a change in student transportation. Zum brings safety, state-of-the-art technology and unparalleled service to every community it serves.

“At Zum, safety is our top concern, and we are privileged to be working with Reading School District to deliver safe, top-notch student transportation,” said Liz Sanchez, Executive Vice President of Student Transportation at Zum. “We have incredible drivers in place, all of whom will be driving brand new school buses and working out of brand new facilities, all equipped with cutting-edge technology.”

“Our new team of drivers and staff is highly trained and motivated, and we’re all excited to kick off the school year and bring a higher level of service to this community,” said Missy Lash, Reading General Manager at Zum.
